Luxe RED Residential Excellence in Design Award

In 2021, I was honored to receive a Regional Luxe Residential Excellence in Design (RED) Award in the category of Classic / Traditional Interior Design.

What does that mean exactly and why is such a big deal?

Luxe Interiors and Design Magazine is a national magazine started in 2005 known for its authority in Luxury Interior Design. It is read by over 3.2 million readers across all its platforms. The design community and wealthy consumers who love design devour the magazine’s content every year. In 2018, the annual Luxe RED Awards for Residential Excellence in Design was introduced to its readers. It immediately became one of the most coveted awards honoring excellence, innovation, and the best of professional residential architecture, interior design, and landscape architect projects from across the country.

There are 14 Luxe regional editions: Arizona, Austin + San Antonio, Chicago, Colorado, Dallas + Fort Worth, Greater New York, Houston, Los Angeles, Southern California, Miami, Palm Beach + Broward County, the Pacific Northwest, San Francisco, and the Southeast. Each region honors a winner from over 1200 applicants (professional interior designers and architects) every year.

Winners are selected by a multidisciplinary panel of notable industry experts (usually five) as well as Luxe Interiors + Design’s Editor in Chief. Each project is evaluated on its own merits for:

1)      Aesthetics: Is the design engaging, compelling, visually stimulating? Does it provoke interest, have the capacity to be captivating? 

2)      Regionally Relevant: How well does the project fit into its regional landscape and environment? How appropriate is it in context?

3)      Creativity: Does it incorporate a forward-thinking or original approach, use a new medium or materials?

 By winning a Luxe Red Award, it automatically identifies Christine Jahan Designs as an Interior Design firm that operates at a level of sophistication that is miles above the rest.
